Privacy Policy for PuzzleVerse

This Privacy Policy describes how PuzzleVerse ("we", "us", or "our"), developed and published by CoderViet, collects, uses, and shares information from users ("you") of our mobile application available on Google Play and other platforms.

PuzzleVerse is a mobile puzzle game that provides logic-based challenges, leaderboards, and optional in-app purchases.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information

PuzzleVerse allows users to play without creating a traditional account.

If you choose to sign in or register (for example using email authentication), we may collect:

• Email address
• User ID generated by the authentication service

This information is used only for authentication, saving progress, and restoring purchases.

We also collect the display name you choose for yourself in the game. Please note that your display name is shown publicly to other players on leaderboards and in daily challenge results.

Device Information

We may collect limited device information automatically, including:

• Device type and model
• Operating system version
• App version
• Crash logs and diagnostics
• Device and advertising identifiers, such as the advertising ID and app instance ID

Approximate Location

We do not request access to your device's location. However, our analytics and advertising providers receive your IP address and use it to estimate an approximate location (such as country or city level). This is used for aggregated usage reporting, to show ads relevant to your region, and to detect fraud and abuse.

Gameplay Data

PuzzleVerse may store gameplay-related information such as:

• Game progress
• Scores and achievements
• Leaderboard rankings
• In-game currency (coins, diamonds, hints)

In-App Purchase Data

If you make purchases inside the app:

• Transactions are processed through Google Play Billing.
• We receive a purchase verification token to confirm the transaction.

We keep a record of your transactions (purchase history) so that we can grant your purchased items, restore them on a new device, and handle refunds and support requests. We do not store payment credentials, credit card numbers, or billing information.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used. Most of our reporting is aggregated, but the data collected includes identifiers such as an app instance ID and, when you are signed in, a user ID. It is therefore not fully anonymous.

3. How We Use Your Information

App Functionality

To provide the core gameplay features of PuzzleVerse, including saving game progress, leaderboards, achievements, and restoring purchases.

Improvements & Debugging

Device information, usage statistics, and crash reports help us fix bugs, improve performance, and enhance gameplay experience.

Purchases

We verify purchase receipts with platform APIs to grant purchased items such as coins, diamonds, hint packs, or premium features.

Advertising

PuzzleVerse may display ads to support free gameplay. Advertising partners may use device identifiers to provide relevant ads.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or trade your personal data.

We do, however, share the following data with Google AdMob, which uses it for its own advertising, ad measurement and fraud prevention purposes:

• Device and advertising identifiers (advertising ID, app set ID)
• Approximate location, estimated from your IP address
• Your interactions with the app, such as app launches, taps and ad views
• Diagnostic information about app and ad performance

Data handled by Firebase Authentication, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics is processed by Google as our service provider, on our behalf and under our instructions.

We may also disclose data where we are required to do so by law, or to investigate fraud, cheating or abuse of the service.

5. Third-Party Services

We integrate the following third-party services:

Google AdMob (Mobile Ads)

Displays banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads within the app and may use device identifiers to serve personalized ads.

Google Play Billing / Apple App Store

Process in-app purchases and subscriptions on Android and iOS.

Firebase Analytics

Collects usage metrics, including an app instance ID and, when you are signed in, a user ID, to help us understand engagement.

Firebase Authentication

Manages guest and email sign-in. It stores your email address, an authentication user ID and your IP address, the latter to protect the sign-in process against abuse.

Firebase Crashlytics

Collects crash reports, including stack traces, app state and device metadata, so we can fix crashes.

6. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed specifically at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access or request a copy of the data we hold
• Correct or delete your data
• Opt out of certain data processing activities

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app, under Settings → Delete account. If you have already uninstalled the app, you can request deletion by email. Full instructions, and details of exactly what is deleted and what is kept, are on our Account & Data Deletion page.

9. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we immediately delete your sign-in account, your email address and the link to your device's guest session, and we replace your display name with "Deleted User".

Gameplay statistics, leaderboard entries and in-app purchase transaction records are retained after deletion in a de-identified form that is no longer linked to your name, email address or sign-in account. We keep them to preserve leaderboard integrity for other players and to meet accounting obligations and prevent purchase fraud.

Data held by Google Analytics for Firebase, Crashlytics and AdMob is retained according to those services' own retention settings and policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The new version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date.
